This is Where We Live by Apt Studio
Using more than 1000 books and three weeks of filming in stop-motion, the producers Apt Studio and working with Asylum Films made this beautiful film to commemorate the 25th anniversary of imprint 4th Estate. The film contains numerous in-jokes and references to the books it features, and everything, from the ships in port to the cinema in Soho to the man fishing in Central Park is made out of books, covers, pages and words. In the campaign’s website you can check photos of the making of.

This is a great website to look at graphic design work that some talented artists have done. This is something that I would really like to learn how to do for recreational purposes. Does anyone know a good book or website I could learn?
This is a great blog that I follow. This man writes so beautifully. I don’t know much about him but I think that helps to be emotional toward what he writes. He also couples his writing with beautiful photography that his friend (who lives in Japan) does specifically for his blog.

Do you remember when we were vampires? Do you remember when we ran through the streets at night, our heads back, laughing and screaming, so alive it felt like we owned the world?
Do you remember?
Do you remember me?

I’m really loving tilt shift photography. This type of photography is achieved through the rotation of the lens (tilt) and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane (shift). The lenses are used to achieve a shallow depth of field and control the plane of focus. This all makes the life size picture appear miniature.

This is a really great website that I found highlighting young photographers from around the world. Each photographer shoots six photos of the person/persons most important to them. These photos must be taken outdoors in a natural setting.
Its a great site if you have time to explore. You might just get inspired!

I like it salt
I like it wet
Like my makeup in a mess
So I cry hard
Let it fall
And I won’t stop until my tears are all shed

This artist (who lives in Spain) takes photographs of people out at night and then recreates them into huge drawings. The catch is he uses a ballpoint pen! It usually takes him over a month to draw each picture.

New Obsession #5: Devendra Banhart. Everything he does is so unique and seems to come very naturally to him. He writes and sings his own songs, he had and art show in San Fransisco that just ended called “Abstract Rhythms”, and was in the movie Nick And Norah’s Infinite Playlist.
Banharts music sounds very spiritual; he incorporates a lot of worldly influence into his music and style. Exploring his art and music is so much fun; you simply can not be bored! I haven’t heard a song yet that I don’t like.
Here is a song I really like, Little Yellow Spider. But look up more music videos… its worth a look!
