I’ve been really digging this New York based band. The Virgins. This song is Rich Girls.

I discovered Kings of Leon earlier this year and I have been kicking myself for not listening to them sooner. I had heard about them before but never really payed attention. Now they are one of my favorite bands and I listen to them almost daily. My favorite albums are Aha Shake Heartbreak and the newest Only by the Night.

The band has 4 members (all are related; three brothers and one cousin). All are from Tennessee and still live there. They are actually not well known in the US and are struggling to find an audience (but they are really big in the UK). The boys are well known for their “rock and roll” lifestyle and do not apologize for it. They drink daily, sleep with a lot of women, and fight often. But I think that makes them more interesting!

Keira Knightley is one of my favorite actresses. She is a brilliant performer and chooses movies well. I also can’t get enough of her style. She has such a unique feminine look!

She is working on a movie version of King Lear with Anthony Hopkins, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Naomi Watts.

I’m really excited about Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen’s book, Influence, coming out (October 28th). They get a lot of flak for being photographed all the time but you really have to hand it to them. To create, grow, and maintain a business that has an annual revenue of $1.4 billion might take a little bit of work!

The two girls interviewed 20 successful and creative people who have inspired them, hoping they could inspire other people as well. The book includes photos and drawings from their private collection.
