There are very few actors that can transition into a music career. But it can be done and for Ryan Gosling it will be. His band, called Dead Man’s Bones, has a very unique raw sound. And on top of that, they have a really cool image concept that works well with Ryan’s image as an actor.
I hope to see lots more to come form these two men. This song is In the Room Where you Sleep:
I have been inspired by a wonderful travel blog to write down things I would like to do before I die. I recommend doing the same because it was very fun to think about. (some are their ideas and some are my own)
1. Learn another language
2. Scuba in the Great Barrier Reef
3. Follow my dinner from field to table

4. Volunteer abroad
5.Visit birthplace or grave site of a cultural icon
6. Photograph an endangered species

7. Ride on an animal bigger than a horse… like an elephant
8. Set foot on each of the seven continents
9. Go to a nude beach
10. Attend a music festival in another country

11. Bike the Pacific Coast Highway
12. Become a beach bum on deserted (or semi deserted) island for a couple weeks
Although he has been around for awhile, I have been recently loving looking through photographs taken by Terry Richardson. He does fashion and editorial work for big names like Gucci, Chloe, French Vogue, and GQ.
His photographs are very beautiful and very provocative (sometimes pornographic) but always extraordinary.

I really like writer Dave Eggers. Ever since I read A Heartbreaking Work Of A Staggering Genius , I have been following his career. With that said, I’m really excited about a new movie that he and his wife, Vendela Vida, wrote together called Away We Go.
Away We Go is about a couple who found out they are expecting their first child, so they decide to travel around the US in order to find the perfect place to start their new family. The movie looks so charming. It seems to have the right amount of drama and comedy that equal out to be a very real story.
Making this movie more appealing is Sam Mendes (Kate Winslet’s husband), who is known for directing Revolutionary Road, Road to Perdition, and American Beauty.
I just had to put this up. I love the Jud Apatow crew (I think they are called “The Frat Pack”) and I can’t get enough!
Here is Paul Rudd (swoon), Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, and Jonah Hill spoofing the Vanity Fair photograph of Tom Ford, Keira Knightley, and Scarlett Johansson.

This is a great website to look at graphic design work that some talented artists have done. This is something that I would really like to learn how to do for recreational purposes. Does anyone know a good book or website I could learn?
I love collaborations like this. Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Pharrell, and Thom Yorke. And the video is very fun to watch and well done!
I get very excited about the Oscars, so when I came across these beautiful photos of some nominees taken by the wonderful Annie Leibovitz, I had to share them.
These are photographs of movie partnerships with undeniable chemistry!

Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger

Ron Howard and Tom Hanks

Penelope Cruz and Woody Allen

Sam Mendes and Kate Winslet
Unfortunately the film for Polaroid cameras are not being produced anymore. But there is a cool website where you can convert your digital photos into Polaroid look-a-likes. I am so excited about this; I’ve been converting some of my pictures for fun:

This song is so beautiful and the video is one of the most creative I’ve ever seen!
